SUMMARY
The Recreational Coordinator is responsible for the organization and operation of the Canoe Club, Recreation, Fitness Center and pool areas. The coordinator assists with equipment rentals, fitness center and pool operations, children's camp, holiday
events
, and program planning. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
Follow all departmental service, grooming, and safety standards.
Follow all resort core values.
Assist guests and property owners with all equipment rental needs.
Assist with all department facility and equipment maintenance.
Provide the guests with appropriate property information, nature trails, and biking trails.
Maintain and organize facility linen needs.
Complete opening and closing procedures for Recreation and Canoe Club.
Complete daily departmental procedures for Recreation and Canoe Club.
Assist with activity programming for camp, holiday, weekly and special events.
Relay accurate information to guests and members.
Complete daily responsibilities without direction or supervision.
Effectively and efficiently handle member and guest complaints.
Properly handle any activity or equipment reservations.
Properly utilize the computerized inventory system, Open Activity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Previous customer service and hospitality experience.
High School graduate.
Able to lift 50 or more pounds.
Valid Driver's License
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Able to work independently or with a team.
Capable of multi-tasking.
Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
computer
literate in Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of kayaking, canoeing, fishing, bicycles, and fitness equipment.
Desired:
Degree in Recreation, Hospitality, Sports Management, or similar.
Previous recreation experience.
Previous program planning experience
CPR, First Aid, AED certified.
Working Conditions: Most tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy and wet weather. Temperature can be extreme but is usually moderate. Frequently works near moving/mechanical parts.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the
employee
is required to reach with arms and hands; bend and stoop; remain at post standing for extended periods of time; required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; place and remove bikes, canoes and kayaks onto hanging racks
